Questions, answered
How long does it take?
About 3 minutes to create your preview. Once you unlock it, the full song is yours instantly. If you chose the video, it's ready about 10 minutes after you upload your photos. Everything is also sent to your email.
Can I hear it before I pay?
Yes. You'll hear a free 30-second preview of your actual song, with their name in it, before you pay anything. No card needed.
What if I don't love it?
Every song includes one free remake. You can change the style, the voice, how a name is sung or a detail in the lyrics. Just use the link in your delivery email.
What's your refund policy?
If your song isn't delivered within 24 hours of payment, we'll refund you in full — automatically, no questions asked. Because you hear a preview first and the song is delivered instantly, other cases are covered by your free remake. If something went wrong on our side, email us at hello@merrysongs.com and we'll make it right. This doesn't affect your statutory rights.
How can I use the song?
It's yours to enjoy and share for personal use: play it at home, send it to family, post it on your social media. You can't sell it, upload it to streaming services (like Spotify or Apple Music) or use it in advertising.
Is the song really original?
Yes. The lyrics are written from your details and the music is composed for your song — it isn't a template with a name dropped in. We use AI music tools to compose and sing it, and we check every lyric so it doesn't copy existing songs.
What happens to my child's information?
An adult fills in the form, and we only ask for what the song needs: first name, age, a few things they did this year and their wish. We never ask for surnames, addresses or photos of children for the song. Form details are deleted after 90 days and uploaded photos after 30 days. We never sell or share your data. Read our Privacy Policy for details.
Can I schedule it for Christmas Day?
Yes. After you pay, choose 'Send it on a date', add their email and pick the day and time — for example 7:00 am on December 25 in their time zone. We'll email them their gift page then, and send you a copy.
What if their name is unusual?
There's an optional field to tell us how to say it (for example 'SHIV-awn' for Siobhan). If it still doesn't sound right, use your free remake.
Which styles and voices can I choose?
Pop, acoustic, crooner jazz or a kids' sing-along, with a choice of voices. You'll hear a short sample of each before choosing.
What currency will I pay in?
Prices are in US dollars. At checkout you'll see the price in your local currency, with any taxes included.
